The Three Core Dimensions at the Heart of our New Insights App

The eCommerce site search journey must always start from the customer experience and the user’s expectations, and that can be as simple as matching shopper’s queries to corresponding products.

It’s for this reason that as we’ve been developing our new EmpathyInsights app, enabling our retail customers to access and see our cool search visualizations on the go, we’ve carefully designed it to focus around these three key dimensions:

  • Query: By understanding and displaying search terms and keywords retailers can get a great insight into shopper´s demand and the potential commercial opportunities.

  • User: User´s behaviour is the core connection between queries and products. By analysing the way shoppers search and how they interact with results enables brands to comprehend context and boost site search performance.

  • Product: Visualizing the performance of products within the search experience helps retailers to identify gaps within the search journey, define priorities and, of course, redefine the search results to enhance the digital experience.

Using these dimensions as a focus point on the app’s design allows our customers to understand site search performance from different perspectives. Each dimension, and each visualization, creates a holistic picture to help retailers identify real-time trends, potential opportunities, the effectiveness of site search performance, and, crucially, the customer experience.
